It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

Ultimately, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to produce her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed the team required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a belief they will win from any position has grown stronger - this victory following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wished she had played despite the injury.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured an international tournament as skipper.
